Protective Effect of Mycetocola spp. against Pseudomonas tolaasii in bacterial brown blotch disease

Pseudomonas tolaasii is the causative effect of bacterial brown blotch disease in the common button mushroom Agaricus bisporus. Some strains of the genus Mycetocola were identified that can suppress the disease symptoms when inoculated to the mushroom cap prior to infection with P. tolaasii. We investigate the molecular basis of the disease suppressive effect of different Mycetocola species.
